At the beginning of every month, I would sit down and fill out the calendars, one was the big calendar on the cupboard and another was an 18 month calendar that I carried with me all the time. I would them transfer between calendars so everything was current. I tried to do this with a nice glass of wine, but my accuracy was not to good, so I nixed the wine.

Projects have always been a joy and curse for me. Kid’s projects that is. With 8 children we did a lot of projects. Some for school, some for after school activities, as they got older my/our help was not so needed, but in the early years I thought I should have shared in the grade; when it was good. I have made salt maps, volcanos, sugar cube pyramids and igloos, soap box derby cars, and the Loch Ness Monster. The monster was my project for a golf guest day, he was great until he was pelted with golf balls and sank.

Byerly's, a wonderful grocery, was open till midnight, so I would leave at about 10:30PM, shop almost alone in the store, peacefully put the groceries away and go to bed. One evening I was so relaxed that I forgot my wallet...with two full carts of groceries.
